Looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant where you can enjoy a meal with your toddler in Seoul?
We recently visited Don Go Don Rak (돈고돈락 본점), a Korean pork barbecue restaurant in Songpa-gu, near Seokchon Lake. We ordered aged pork belly and aged pork neck, and the staff grilled the meat for us at the table.
What made our visit especially memorable was how kindly the owner treated our child. The owner even cut the cooked meat into smaller pieces for our toddler, which made the meal easier for us as parents.
From high chairs and children’s tableware to a slushie machine and an arcade game outside, here is what we experienced at Don Go Don Rak.

2. Menu and Prices at Don Go Don Rak

We ordered two types of aged pork: pork belly and pork neck. The menu board is useful if you want to check the available cuts and compare prices before ordering.
Menu items we tried
| Korean menu name | English name |
|---|---|
| 숙성삼겹살 | Aged pork belly |
| 숙성꽃목살 | Aged pork neck |
3. Aged Pork Belly and Pork Neck, Grilled at the Table

One thing we appreciated at Don Go Don Rak was that the staff grilled the pork for us.
When you eat at a Korean BBQ restaurant, you often need to turn the meat and check how well it is cooking. That can be a little hectic when you are also looking after a young child.
Since the staff handled the grilling, we could focus more on our meal and our toddler instead of constantly watching the grill.

For families dining with young children, having someone else take care of the grilling can make the experience more comfortable.
4. The Staff Cut the Meat into Smaller Pieces for Our Toddler

<The staff cut the cooked pork into smaller pieces for our toddler>
This was one of the most memorable parts of our visit.
The staff did more than grill the meat. They also cut it into smaller pieces so our toddler could eat it more easily.
When eating out with a young child, parents often have to cool food, cut it into manageable pieces, and make sure everything is ready to eat. These small tasks can take quite a bit of attention.
The owner’s kindness and the staff’s thoughtful service made us feel welcome as a family.
As always, parents should check that meat is thoroughly cooked, has cooled to a safe temperature, and is cut to a size and texture appropriate for their child’s age and chewing ability.
5. High Chairs and Children’s Tableware

Don Go Don Rak had high chairs and children’s tableware available when we visited.
These may seem like small details, but they can make a difference when eating out with a baby or toddler. Having a suitable chair and tableware ready means parents have fewer things to worry about bringing along.
Combined with the staff’s help preparing the meat, these facilities made the meal more manageable for our family.
If you’re planning a visit with a baby or toddler, you may want to confirm that a high chair is available, especially during busy dining hours.
6. Complimentary Steamed Egg

<Steamed egg is a soft side dish to enjoy with Korean BBQ>
We noticed a sign indicating that steamed egg could be refilled free of charge.
Steamed egg is a popular accompaniment to Korean BBQ, and its soft texture makes it a nice alternative to grilled meat.
We also shared some with our child. It was a welcome addition to the meal.
Complimentary refills and restaurant policies may change, so check with the staff when you visit.
7. A Slushie Machine for the Kids

Eating out with toddlers can be unpredictable. Sometimes the children finish eating before the adults and are ready to move on while everyone else is still at the table!
Don Go Don Rak had a slushie machine that caught our attention. It was an extra feature that children might enjoy while the family finishes the meal.
Of course, every child is different. For younger toddlers, parents may also want to consider the sugar content and whether a cold drink is appropriate for them.
8. An Arcade Game Outside the Restaurant

There was also an arcade game outside the restaurant.
For families dining with children, having something interesting to look at or enjoy after the meal can be a nice bonus. It gives little ones another point of interest while the adults finish eating.
The slushie machine and arcade game were not the main reasons we visited, but they were memorable little touches that added to our family dining experience.
Parents should supervise children around the game and the restaurant entrance.
9. Is Don Go Don Rak a Good Korean BBQ Restaurant for Families?
Based on our visit, Don Go Don Rak is worth considering if you’re looking for Korean pork barbecue near Seokchon Lake and plan to dine with a baby or toddler.
Here are the things we appreciated most:
- The staff grilled the pork for us.
- The cooked meat was cut into smaller pieces for our toddler.
- High chairs and children’s tableware were available.
- We noticed a sign offering complimentary steamed egg refills.
- The slushie machine and arcade game provided extra points of interest for children.
- The owner was especially kind and considerate toward our child.
For us, the standout feature was the thoughtful service. Eating out with a toddler often requires a lot of little adjustments, and the staff’s willingness to help made the meal feel more relaxed.
This is a personal review based on our own visit, so the experience may vary depending on the day and how busy the restaurant is.
10. Final Thoughts
If you’re exploring the Seokchon Lake area and craving Korean BBQ, Don Go Don Rak Main Branch is one restaurant to consider.
We enjoyed the aged pork belly and pork neck, appreciated having the meat grilled for us, and were especially grateful for the way the owner and staff treated our toddler.
The high chair, children’s tableware, steamed egg, slushie machine, and arcade game were all welcome extras. But what stayed with us most was the kindness shown to our child.
